Nolen to Now:
Neighborhood Design for a Sustainable Region

Nolen to Now was organized in part by the Center for Democracy in Action and the Neighborhood Design Center (NDC), a not-for-profit organization.

The NDC engages and educates community leaders and citizens, providing educational resources, visual skill building, and the technical assistance for new construction and redevelopment, complimentary to contemporary principles of neighborhood development.

The purpose of the Nolen to Now conference, which was held May 18-20, 2006, was to work toward increasing the capacity of Dane County communities to apply urban design principles and tools in order to create great neighborhoods and places, and to preserve the natural landscape and environment.
